Frequently asked questions about lognow.

General

Is lognow free?

You get 200 free credits when you sign up (about 200 minutes of recording). After that, you can purchase additional credits.

Does lognow record my audio?

No. Your audio streams directly from your browser to our transcription engine. We never store, save, or have access to your raw audio. Only the text transcript is saved.

What languages are supported?

lognow supports many languages with automatic language detection. The transcription engine identifies the spoken language automatically — no configuration needed.

Do I need to install anything?

No. lognow runs entirely in your browser. No downloads, plugins, or extensions required.

Recording

Can I record a Zoom/Teams/Meet call?

Yes! Select your system audio or meeting audio as the input source when prompted. The exact steps vary by browser and operating system.

What happens if I close my browser during a recording?

Your transcript data is saved periodically (every 5 seconds). When you return, you'll see a prompt to recover your session.

Can I record from multiple tabs?

No. Only one recording session can be active at a time. If you try to start a recording while one is active in another tab, you'll see an option to take over or stop the existing recording.

Why is my microphone not working?

Make sure:

  1. Your browser has permission to access the microphone
  2. The correct microphone is selected in your browser's settings
  3. Your microphone isn't muted at the system level
  4. No other application is exclusively using the microphone

Transcription

How accurate is the transcription?

Accuracy depends on audio quality, background noise, and speaking clarity. In good conditions, expect 95%+ accuracy for clear English speech.

Can I edit the transcript?

Yes. Open any completed session and click a segment to edit its text or speaker label. Changes are saved automatically. You can also export the transcript (DOCX, TXT, PDF, etc.) and edit in an external tool.

Are speaker labels accurate?

Speaker detection works best with clear turn-taking. It may be less accurate with cross-talk, similar-sounding voices, or very short utterances.

Account & Billing

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings and look for the account deletion option. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, secure authentication (Google OAuth or email), and never store raw audio. See our privacy policy for details.

Can I get a refund?

Contact support@lognow.app for refund requests. We review each case individually.
